<p>After a year of work and with help from Google's Summer of Code, <a href="http://www.freedroid.org/news/news-detail/article/freedroidrpg-014rc3-is-out/">FreedroidRPG 0.14rc3 is out</a>:</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">FreeDroidRPG features a complete real time combat system with melee and ranged weapons, fairly similar to the proprietary game Diablo. There also is an innovative system of magic, with features such as forced casting and over 20 spells. You can use over 50 different kinds of items and fight countless enemies on your way to your destiny. We have an advanced dialogue system, which aims at being at least on par with Fallout&rsquo;s. The dialogues in the game represent a large part of the gameplay.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><br /> Finally, if guns are too inaccurate and blades too messy, you can always take over your enemies and have them fight on your side.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Why is there magic in mah sci-fi? You can <a href="http://www.freedroid.org/download/">download here</a>.</p>

Merida, again
Fun game. Last I played was 0.12 I think. Short, but entertaining. Writing is okayish and combat Diablo like.

You have the ability to run "programs". These programs are the spells, when run they increase your temperature, till the point where you overheat and it basically kills you.

I've only played 0.13 (briefly; I had to study for exams), from that brief experience I think it's quite a well done little game.

I remember this from a few years back.

The game has a lot of potential to it, pity it will probably only be finished around 2015.

Lisuckfags are disgusting. Spending so much work on code, etc. only to make Tux a protagonist... FFS :x

I am starting to hate linuxfags and freetards almost as much as microsoft, but if the hacking didn't seem to suck then this might be worth a play I guess.
