Vault custodian Ausir has been collecting tidbits about what's coming next after Dead Money, which might include cut companion Ulysses and the Burned Man.

Additionally, Dead Money was first hinted via in-game graffiti. The textures for these graffiti are in a folder in the game files called "nvdlcgraffiti", and all the textures share the filename "nvgraffitisierra". Interestingly, this folder contains a number of other textures, sharing the filename "nvgraffitihonesthearts". These read:

    "Where's New Canaan, anyway?"
    "The Burned Man Walks!"
    "Joshua Graham Lives!"

This implies that one of the future add-ons will be titled Honest Hearts and will feature Joshua Graham, Caesar's former right hand, who is also known as the Burned Man, as he was set on fire and thrown into the Grand Canyon for his defeat during the First Battle of Hoover Dam. New Canaan is another location that was originally meant to appear in Van Buren - a Mormon town that Graham originally came from.

So the next DLC might have a burning man and a guy with dreadlocks. Sounds familiar somehow...

So, essentially New Vegas DLC is formerly cut content being restored and expanded. At least we won't have to wait five years for some fan-made New Vegas Restoration Project.

Seeing as New Vegas is so fucking enormous as it is, I don't really feel that cheated by this. I will most certainly pirate this, because fuck paying money for mini-expanision packs.

Those companions (as well as Dead Money) sound way more interesting than anything Bethesda has come up with.

I'm not falling for this covert marketing shit because I'm not 12.

Also, a companion DLC would carry througout the game and (possibly?) affect quests, rather than being something isolated.

I like the idea of the Burned Man. However, one has to wonder what sort of incarnation he'll be in.

Will he be as his original Pariah type follower incarnation or will he be an individual who is still a monster of a man despite all the scars and burns, etc. I'd be interested to see what they can come up with for the guy, as well as Ulysses, who may supposedly be the other Courier mentioned in the DLC Dead Money and in Primm, etc.

Also, would they have any major effect on possible ending outcomes for any of the major factions? Maybe graham taking control of the Legion after the death of Caesar and the Legate? It would be interesting to see how they can work this all into the game, but also how much it will change the original game, if at all.

The ruins of Van Buren shoved in to fit the mold of Obsidian's writing were the best parts of NV, so this might be worth getting. Had they fused all the DLCs they plan to release into one, it could even pass as an expansion.

Would be interesting if the Legion reacts differently from you now, more fearfully after you have encountered the burning man, or maybe he gives you some sort of damage resistance or toughness perk. Who knows? Maybe once you choose to take him in your party, you can't get rid of him? Something interesting.

Joshua Graham/The Burning Man/The Hanged Man sounds pretty damn cool. Loved all the Van Buren bits in NV.

I would have liked to see more trait possibilities, maybe some from the older games that would have been rebalanced.

Also, we need more melee weapons, or at least skins. I'm tired of using a 'super sledge' hammer that is supposed to be some state of the art pneumatic hammer weapon that instead looks like a parking meter with two tin cans welded to the sides. Give it a new skin or model, give it some animations.

I just hope all these DLCs will be available on PC.

They will... it'll take another six months or so after each release but they will. Just buy the GOTY version at the end of 2012 for $25. Another plus side to that is the modding community will be in full swing so you can add more balance to the game if it lacks it in the vanilla release. Haven't played New Vegas so I don't know if it's as absurdly easy as unmodded FO3 was.
