Its not even listed by any Australian game stores yet, which is pretty fucking ludicrous for a game developed in Australia.

Now that's what I call exciting news! :) Hmm, I wonder which retailer near me will have it first and how much they will mark it up before the inevitable "sale" price hits. I better check the system requirements too and make sure I can run the game. :?

Woohoo! Looks like all I need to do is upgrade my video card then, which shouldn't be more than $50 or thereabouts. Thanks for the tip, LlamaGod! :)

Have you tried the demo yet, Reklar? It's really not that good.

Err, no, I haven't actually because I'm on a dial-up connection at home. :( Maybe it'll be on the next PCGamer disc and I'll try it out before I buy it. I hope it's better than the demo though, cause I'd be really disappointed if they damaged their own franchise by simply changing engines. :?

There is nothing wrong with the engine. It's the gameplay he's referring to, in the demo. You have to stop some Nazis from burning books and if they arrive to the fire before you knock them out, you lose!

Well, not to be too picky, but the first Freedom Force game had more than one mission very similar to that. The Mr. Mechanical missions come to mind in particular, but I still made it through them, though they did sort of irritate me at first. I guess I'll just wait awhile and see what the reviews are like.

Just out of interest, do you type "-Reklar (a Fallout/RPG fan)" every time, or do you have a .txt file you just cut and paste it from? Seems superfluous.

Old habits die hard I'm afraid, Fez. I know it seems stupid, but I'm used to "signing" my posts. I do the same sort of thing with e-mails, believe it or not.

i sign mine as well... there's more than one moron around here that hates it, gripes about it then has to put up with the fact that i don't care. ouch.

anyway, S_P, are you saying the game in general probably isn't that good, or just that the demo isn't that good? i'm curious as nothing seems fun right now. i've got classics and new stuff (incl. kotor) all sitting unplayed... ugh.
