Gamer's Pulse has put up their Game of the Year stuff. Their CRPG of the Year award went to Neverwinter Nights with the runner up being Morrowind. Here's a taste of it:

BioWare Corp. and Infogrames Entertainment present the most revolutionary PC gaming experience to date. Dare to sleep through Neverwinter Nights. Experience the magic of the legendary Dungeon & Dragons® on your home computer with the new role-playing game, Neverwinter Nights. The developers of hugely popular Baldur?s Gate series have created a remarkable 60-hour single-player adventure in addition to the multiplayer experience of a lifetime featuring the revolutionary Neverwinter Toolset.

Create your own magic world of Neverwinter filled with characters, monsters, stories, weapons and legends, all designed by your imagination with the Neverwinter Toolset. Invite up to 64 of your friends to traverse your world while you act as a Dungeon Master, managing the plot and characters in real-time.

The uninstaller works like a champ too.

You're wrong, Saint. Even the uninstaller sucks. It didn't remove the 2gb worth of files I had in my "saves" directory. I had to manually delete them when I found myself not having as much space as I thought I should have had when I installed Medieval: Total War.

I think that's part of the joke. If it isn't, though, Saint can always say it was, and no one will ever know the difference.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. I deleted my NWN saves back in July and freed up close to 2GB myself. Honestly, I like to save a few times an hour and never save over an old save file just in case I mananged to screw something up. If you do that with NWN, you're going to quickly run low on disk space.

All that, and the quest states can't be saved for use in later chapters.

BioWare: Redefining the Point of Pointlessness.

Hehe, lol, with all this hate you're giving it you're forcing me to actually go out and buy the damn game to see it in all its greatness. :D
Is there a demo?

http://nwn.bioware.com/downloads/demo.html

The demo allows you to play through the prelude in all it's glory. Go - marvel.
Heh, nice.
I see they used Baldurs Gate combat system. You'd think they would improve on immersion but its still the same old automated crap like it was 5 years ago. :(
Graphics looks old, reminds me of Soulbringer. :(
Dialog ain't all that either, I was yawning after 15 minutes.

I see that it can be fun for people that liked IE games, but by todays standards this game is 3 years behind.

Saint, it's 2003. We'll have to start saying six years behind.

Well, they want to put magic items in KotOR, so I doubt they've learned any of their other lessons. We'll see though.
