Almost Human Games' official blog and twitter inform us that Legend of Grimrock, the pretty-looking old-school first-person party-based real-time dungeon-crawling CRPG that I hope you are all waiting for as impatiently as I am, is scheduled for release come April:

We know you’re all anxious to hear about the release plans and as you probably already saw in the big poster above, we’re finally able to tell you something concrete: The PC version of Legend of Grimrock will be released in early April and we are going to start preorders a few weeks before launch. That said, we have signed NDAs so we are not allowed to tell the exact date and distribution platforms just yet but rest assured that everything is now in good hands.

Click here for launch teaser pic and more info!

They even have an official forum now:

To celebrate this Antti and Juho have kindly setup a forum. Discussions should certainly be a lot easier there than in the blog comments.

Quick, somebody start a thread there asking for the game to be switched to turn-based!

I think it's safe to say that LoG will not be Steam exclusive.
Cant remember if there was any confirmation on this before but it's nice to get a direct dev response on the matter.

Very much looking forward to this, been far too long since a game of this particular style, though this is bound to have lots of creative quirks versus the old ones.

I know next to nothing about this, but will try it out definitely. Extensive dungeoneering and the pretty graphics look very appealing.

I really wondered how only four people could come up with such smooth graphics and gameplay.
Then I looked at who those four people are, and things became clearer :)

Their idea certainly isn't the most original, but those guys know their craft.

I don't think I've seen an indie game with higher production values before. And to think they did it all in less than a year. Kudos to them, quite inspiring. I was too young to experience dungeon crawlers like this and haven't really gone back to play games of the genre, but I can't wait for this.

The graphics are really sweet and the concept sounds solid. Had never heard about this before, thanks for the news, Crooked Bee!

Hmm, I hope they will release it on Gamersgate as well.

I'm finding it pretty difficult to restrain my enthusiasm for this game. If it proves to be a worthy spiritual successor to DM/LoL/EoB, I'll be over the moon.

I am too very happy about this.

What I'm not happy about is that magyars from Redshift have been making games like this for years and nobody gives a crap.
