There's another <A href="http://www.gamebiz.com.au/previews.php?action=display&id=393">preview</a> of <A href="http://www.gaspowered.com/ds2/news.php">Dungeon Siege 2</A> on the internet. This time, Aussie gaming site <A href="http://www.gamebiz.com.au">Gamebiz</a> does the writing and hyping of the sequel to <A href="http://www.gaspowered.com">Gas Powered Games</a>' AfterDark killer. Here's a bit about the fun loving critters you can make kill things for you:

<blockquote>The packmule was a important aspect of the original game, carrying our loot. New additions to your party are pets. You can buy these and develop them by feeding them different items you find in the world. There are 9 different pets and each has a particular specialty. Such as the Fire Elemental who will do a lot of fire damage.</blockquote>

I bet there's a cat. I bet it scratches people. See cat scratch. Scratch, cat scratch.

Here instead of playing an RPG.
The previewer makes it all clear for us here:

The game is about collecting stuff for your dollies and organizing their purses. That's not so bad, I guess. There's more:

Oooo! Industry-leading purse-management tools!

Unlike other RPG games which require you to read through pages of text dialogue between characters, Dungeon Siege II uses an in game cinematic dialogue between your party members.
Down with reading! Including Web boards and preview sites! Oh wait ...

I'm glad they are making RPGs that require less and less thought. I wouldn't want to wear my brain out on all those tricky decisions. It's such a chore.

Shock! Horror! surely not?

I don't think i'll be able to cope with this whole "feed your pet your crap items" stuff/ I mean, it's gonna be quite a dilemma for me... sell for money or feed the pet?! Man i just don't know!

I hope they'll implement a colour coding inventory system to indicate what you should do or else i don't think i'll be playing this game!

No, no. He clearly says you will gather a party of characters who will manage the inventory for you. OMG! LESS WORK MORE SLASHING!

Well.. I've been told quite specifically that JE is not a CRPG because you don't get to collect healing potions and stuff.... :?

So, I guess being allowed to collect this kewl stuff in DS2 makes it the deepest CRPG ever!
