I dreamed about Sacred last night. Even though I've never played it. I dreamed that I was the dwarf with the gun, and that the game was 3d. Weird enough as is, but even weirder that I haven't play any games in months...

More female classes with no clothing, please.

Sacred 2? Come on Ascaron, enough is enough! I don't want another Diablo 2, even if it does have a dwarf with guns. Instead of wasting any kind of talent, why not make a shooting game where you play as a dwarf (with guns) and shoot stuff as they pop up behind boxes and stuff? Damn, I want that genre back. Please, Ascaron! With powerups and stuff! It's gonna rock!

Nah.

At least I hope they actually finish this game before they put it on the shelves. I don't like the idea to buy an addon for something that already should have been in the game: multiplayer.

Actually, I hope it's a good game, but I hope they ditch that shitty copy protection system. Just a cd-key for online play should be enough.

Multiplayer has been in Sacred since the initial release.

Will the American Version at least have blood and gore?

It had better not. Blood and gore doesnt exsist. Saying it does offends my American upbringing where such a thing is distasteful, atleast thats what the publishers tell me.

And shitty copy protection benefits everyone!

Actually, there is a dwarf in the expansion, but I ain't sure bout the guns.

And I think that 50 % women characters with skimpy clothes is enough. There should be male characters with skimpy clothes as well, recent research show increase in female gamers.

Only the Seraphim in Sacred wore skimpy outfits, and there were plenty of full body outfits for that class. And that recent increase just means they're playing The Sims. :D

Sims or no Sims they are playing. They might move on to something more hardcore.

And excuse me, but the lady characters in Sacred were pretty ... skimpy. Maybe not actually skimpy but the Wood Elf has legs as high as her tonsils, and the vampiress would have serious imbalance when walking if she was a real ... woman.

Not in the scandinavian (and european, I guess?) release of the game. We got an expansion pack with added multiplayer to buy. A month later they pulled the first release and made a collectors edition.

So what? They both wore full clothing. The wood elf wore pants with a tunic and the vampiress wore full armor.

And as for the Vampiress, I'd say she was a C cup at best. They weren't that big.

so when is the Underworld expansion to the original coming out?

I've had the game lying here for months but I haven't even played it. I wanted to wait til the expansion comes out to start with the dwarf...

I wouldn't consider myself a Sacred fanboy, but this game, even with all it's obvious flaws doesn't really deserve to be called just another Diablo 2 clone. When it comes to ingame freedom and non linearity Sacred brought the genre to a new level. Even though it's main story was devided into chapters, the game world wasn't. You could freely explore it, accept or deny any of the hundreds of side quests, leaving it up to your own decision when to advance with the actual plot. To me the game is pretty much the best what the entire action RPG genre currently has to offer and simply comparing it to Diablo 2 is just as blind as comparing Fallout to Baldur's Gate (no offence, really). Sure, they're the same genre, but VERY different when you look at the details.
(and european, I guess?)
The german version definately had mutliplayer right from the start. I can't imagine why they excluded it from the scandinavian release. The MP was buggy, yes, but not THAT buggy. Weird.
