Nival is a developer with an excellent tactical game under their belt, and they have shown with Hammer & Sickle that they are willing to use their fantastic engine to produce games which are closer and closer to the definition of RPGs. Execution, of course, is another matter entirely, but in this day and age the simple fact that companies are willing to try is enough cause for hope.

Isn't Hammer & Sickle developed by somebody else? I thought H&S was first made to be a mod then grew into an expansion or something.

That's true. I wonder why they're releasing "new" screens of H&S showing Russian dialogue? I thought the Russian version came out ages ago.

As for Nightwatch...along with H&S it is my most anticipated game in ages. I hope Nival doesn't let us down.

Behind you.
The trailer is pretty cool, even though it's in Russian. I liked the interesting use of of the terrain destruction as well as the power of the magic they were using on it. Plus the bit where the guy turns in to the tiger and the good guy just freezes it was pretty funny.

The tiger actually is the “good” one. She is a light side shapeshifter known as Tiger cub (Tigrenok), presented in both the books and the movie.

Just as some russian versions of english-based settings.

the graphics is nice. nothing fanciful but is otherwise appealing to me.

the same destructable environment is kept. the engine is trully incredible.
