GamePro has a review of Dungeon Siege 2 up. The score is a 4.5/5, but the review seems to talk more about another certainly famous action CRPG quite a bit. Anyway, here's part of the thing:

But it's now clear that Dungeon Siege II is now undeniably one of the action RPG stars. It makes many, many welcome tweaks and improvements--far to many to list here--and is sure to thrill any action RPG fan.

Isn't that what a review is supposed to do? Perhaps cutting out the parts about the features of Diablo 2 would have given you enough room to talk about those things.

GamePro is by far the worst gaming anything in history. And sadly, this is probably one of their longer reviews. :?

... it single-handedly launched one of the most prolific game genres yet: the stat-pumping action RPG. These games throw time-consuming RPG traditions like plot and character development right out the window, favoring cheap thrills and treasure hunting. In any Diablo derivative, the gameplay invariably boils down to two fundamental concepts: killing and capitalism.
So vile...Vile I say.

This formula may be simple, but judging by the sheer number of Diablo clones on the market, it works. PC players have Nox, Arcanum...
I refused to read after this part.

Soo was this review about Diablo 2 or Dungeon Lords 2 ...ehh Siege 2 ?
but judging by the sheer number of Diablo clones on the market, it works. PC players have Nox, Arcanum, Sacred, and most recently, Divine Divinity.
That's just so wrong, the reviewer can't be anything but a moron.

Simple. An idiot who has never really played Arcanum and only saw or heard about the real time combat part. It's isometirc, you have to click on an enemy, hmm...it's a Diablo clone! What a sham!

I missed the part about Arcanum. That's pretty sad right there.

I generally ignore really short reviews when it comes to posting. If they're only willing to write four or five paragraphs, I don't really think I need to write half that just to link to their site. In fact, I rarely even bother to read reviews that short. However, if GamePro writes really silly crap like Arcanum being a Diablo 2 clone, I might actually start reading their reviews.

Considering Beyond Divnity was only a Diablo clone in the sense that you run around and kill stuff. It was much more of a half-baked and completely shitty Baldur's Gate clone.

If the asses at GamePro can jobs in the game industry, I don't see why I can't! :)
