Nearly half a year after he posted the first one, Matt Barton has finally uploaded to his channel the second part of his interview with SSI/TSI designer David Shelley and his wife, former SSI artist Laura Bowen. As in the first part, the interview doesn't go in a chronological order, but instead kind of jumps between various topics, with Dave and Laura taking the opportunity to tell various anecdotes about the evolving technical challenges of developing games throughout the 1980s and early 1990s.

A bit too much Gold Box fanboying to stay focused for this one, Matt? They're a nice couple, though. Apparently there will be more episodes.

The interview is not bad and not great, but they really are nice people and it is enjoyable to watch them talk about their work.

Goldbox games remain at the top of my wishlist to get recreated as a NWN/NWN2/ToEE/D:OS mods.

They really are nice and it's fun to listen to them more or less randomly ramble about this or that. I would've liked to hear more about Demon's Winter, but hearing about Lauren's work on Dark Sun was great. She has a great sense of humour. It's very unfocused, but then many of his interviews are, and it has its advantages, you get to hear details that never come up in other, more "traditional" interviews.
