Speaking of non-generic settings, my unfulfilled wish is to play a RPG inspired by any book written by Umberto Eco, with the quality of writing that doesn't get too shamed by Eco's masterpieces. Baudolino, with its many mythical places and creatures and its light style, seems particularly adaptable to a RPG setting.

I hope the bits of my body they'll recover among the rubble will be too small for a funeral, or even identification. Vehicle IEDs FTW! :D

Quite possibly

Fuck Sapkowski.

Okay, fuck him. Still doesn't take away from the fact that elves as guerrilla terrorists instead of mystic guardians of the sylvan glade or some bullshit like that is a nice, fairly original concept.

mondblut, if every console retard was replaced by a copy of you, the rpg situation would not improve much

I figure if the hundreds of final fantasy clones would be replaced with hundreds of goldbox series clones, the planescape fanboys wouldn't be any less butthurt, yes

However, their plight does not equal "rpg situation" as a whole.

Elves as guerilla terrorists go as far back as Silmarillion, and D&D has a plenty of it either. Sapkowsky invented nothing new.

The context was CRPGs. Name another besides TW and TES that have elves acting different from the usual stereotype.

Well, their faction rebelled against a direct order of the gods, slaughtered a sister people who weren't going to go against said order, and after getting their butt kicked by Morgoth's hordes later in the war, reverted to guerilla strikes from their secret strongholds.

Dark Sun, for one. Moredhel and extinct glamredhel in Krondor.

But luckily none of the coseletard was replaced with you, so butthurt one here is not any Planescape fan.

On the other hand, if all the consoletards were replaced by mondbluts, the next generation of cRPG players might be able to trigger the incline again.

But if we replace all consoletards with mondbluts Russia will take over America and Japan!

Wait, that's actually not that bad.

Mondbluts' plans concerning russia involve a total obliteration of this Mordor parody and establishment of a hundred of Estonias on its place, so worry not, american friends.

We will consider tactical nuclear strikes against japanese cities hosting game development studios, though.
