Is Codex an American site? At least it mostly focuses on games made by American developers (Origin/SSI/Sir Tech/Looking Glass/MicroProse/Black Isle/Troika/Interplay/Sierra/LucasArts/IonStorm etc).
I'm European myself but I've always considered people who bash American culture who themselves are big fans of American games and on top of that very reliant of American webistes and tech as huge hypocritical faggots. Being smug at American stupidity (or rather, feeling that your country is superior) is almost the same kind of intellectual laziness as feeling like you're exceptionally smart and enlightened because you're an atheist or that you're some kind of morally righteous figure because you've figured that racism, homophobia and misogyny are bad. You really figured that shit out by yourself? Wow, it's not like that message isn't plastered all over mainstream media and brainwashed to kids since first grade. Never mind the fact that 15 out of world's top 20 universities are located in America and white Americans perform better than most European nations (apart from Finland) at PISA competitions when their score isn't weighed down by latinos and blacks (and most of 80s&90s best
PC games were developed by Americans). It just strikes me as bitterness and butthurt of people of the continent that became less relevant over the last century.
That's not to say that idiocracy (or American culture taking over the world) isn't a bad thing and that it shouldn't be criticized, but some one from Southern Europe acting like they're above Americans is just ignorant, as statistically speaking white parts of America are better in almost every imaginable way. All Southern Europeans can be proud about are the achievements of their ancestors, and people who have achieved something themselves don't need to take credit for something some one else did hundreds of years ago.
