Obviously, you haven't played Fahrenheit (you lucky bastard). You would know that the dialog system was exactly about stances. No written dialogues. At first, I thought "That's something ew. Let's try it. That could be great." But after one or two occurences of these dialogues scenes, I simply thought: immershun-breaking. Not clever, not usable, not even fun.
