I'm trying to absorb this concept, really I am. But it just ain't parsing. I guess this is what happens now that the Codex is a prestigious magazine.

Well, you cut my quote short. I then said that Martin's "is certainly somewhat better, but it's only a difference of degree, not a difference in kind." The gap between this and Martin is vanishingly small if you add into the comparison serious works of literature, or even classic works of adventure fiction (Count of Monte Cristo, Treasure Island, Sherlock Holmes, etc.). Once you've decided that reading Martin (or other schlock fantasy) is a reasonable way to kill your time -- as I did from 4th to 12th grade -- then I'm not sure why this book goes in the reject pile rather than the read pile.

I just read the Stolen Throne and it was amazing. Far better than I expected. I cannot wait for this game. I definately have to read The Calling before the game comes out. Wonder if these comics are going to be any good. The PAX comic on the official site is pretty good.

I was mostly interested in mainpage coverage because of its potential to cause an uproar among the hardcore Bioware fans. I was also interested to see Gaider's response.

What do you guys think? Should I wait on DU or go ahead and post it?

I cannot see why that would be a problem. The review does contain several excerpts from the novel, but that should be covered by fair use.

If you want my advice, take $20, give it to a street urchin, tell him to turn around, and set him on fire. You will have far more fun with that than reading Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne.
