All free to play experiences are a grindfest if you don't want to spend money. That's why they're free to begin with.
And for better or worse, you can thank MWO for keeping the franchise afloat all these past years and in the eye of the public for today to be feasible to make a Mechwarrior 5 or HBS's Battletech.
Everybody shits on them for MWO but HBS showed that also they don't know what the fuck are they doing, let alone the father of the franchise thinking that mechs are 30m high.
