No it was Sub-Zero

It was scorpion. Spammable teleport move and spammable COME HERE. Sub Zero had an antispam safeguard (freeze someone two times and you end up frozen, instead)

I don't know shit about the game and its characters, but Reptile had the best fight scene and music in the movie so I choose him.

Don't spam freeze?

Out of all characters though Cyrax and Sector were my favorite, but they aren't ninjas.

Yes, of course. Just pointing out that Scorpion is more noob friendly because spamming his moves has no bad consequences whatsoever (in fact it's crazy effective), while doing it with Sub Zero fcks you over.

Uppercut p. much counters the teleport trick.
You can jump over the COME HERE spell and hit your opponent with the leg.

With Sub-Zero you can just rain the ice from above, freezing your opponent even in the air

MK2 & MK3 are the best.
After that they just started to milk money and every MK game started to become worse and worse (starting with MK3U)

Scorpion, no contest. Sub Zero was indeed the noob-friendly (and therefore lame) choice.

This. Spamming Scorpion's moves is a pretty easy way to lose, fast.
Sub-zero is definitely more noon-friendly.

Also, Scorpion ftw!

I always liked Reptile, despite the fact that he was pretty shit when it came to actual fighting.

Oh, and Mortal Kombat = 2d.

I always liked Reptile the best, especially the MK2 incarnation. It takes skill to turn yourself invisible and still be able to kick the other guy's butt.

You fuckers, now I need to play Mortal Kombat again. Should I play it on MAME or on a console port? If the latter, which one?

Get the ultimate MK3 version or whatever it was called, that way you'll get MK3 gameplay with a fuckton of characters.

(Also, when I said Scorpion was the noob-friendly ninja, it was because of his ridiculously limited moveset, whereas both others have much more diverse means of MORTAL KOMBATting their foes to oblivion. My fav. was Reptile, he was pretty deadly if you used him right and he seemed more vicious to me as a kid, but they were all good anyways.)
