GameGuruMania offers up a review of Boiling Point. Like most of the reviews of this game, they mention the bugs but say it's a pretty slick game. The final score is a 70%.

What about the RPG elements? There are role-playing game-style stats, which improve through experience. There are about 20 parameters that affect the gameplay - your moving speed (i.e. fatigue, physical strength, alcohol/drug addiction), shooting accuracy, time of weapon reloading will depends from your stats. You can carry several weapons, but in keeping with the game's role-playing elements, your inventory will be limited by your weight capacity. There are also a very large number of items you can pick up and add to your inventory from fruit and vegetables for consumption when hungry to revolvers and sub machine guns for laying enemies to rest. There are various types of weapons to be found in the game (Knife, Shotgun, Uzi, AK-47, AK-74, M-16, Famas, IMBEL, M-60, Frag Grenade, etc) and you can either filch them off dead bodies, or buy them from the various gun shops that litter the game. Also, you'll have the possibility to upgrade your weapons during the game. You can pay to craftsman, or you can develop your ability by yourself.

Fruits and vegatables. This game's got it all!

Well, going by the website in your sig, Screaming_Life, at least it appears to be getting some speedy patch-O-rific attention.

Edit:
This is a bit damning though (for Atari)
Boiling Point has finally appeared on Atari.com/us - only a few weeks post release and complete with a screenshot that is about 2 years old and no box art! good going guys! wink

But maybe i'm being a bit harsh, how were you supposed to know the screen is about 2 years old? I mean you're only the publisher, surely you've got better things to worry about than how the game is presented right?

BTW, if you want, i have a copy of the box art... i've had it for about 2 months now... just sitting in my temp folder!

Aye... it makes me smile how they seem more eager to announce the things they've added rather than what they've fixed! :)

Like in the eurogamer review :

Maybe it wouldn't have mattered if they were given another six months to polish it off, as they'd have just used the time to add some kind of bread-baking feature or a fully functional kazoo.

...

 yeah well... they never seize to amaze me!

I really have a hard time understanding how they keep going? :? They just keep shooting themselves in the foot... i mean how hard can it be to get recent screens? they have 2 recent ones, surely they would notice that one of them has a completely different hud?!!

Anyone remember just before bloodlines was released? there were about 5 new previews a day, for boiling point, about 2 in total!
