Andrew is also being misleading there, because your episode 1 combat profession has no basis in the next chapter, and you're back to square 1 combat wise.
It's as though your hitpoint/strength/attack/defence skills on Runescape had different skills you had to grind out on different parts of the world map.
If they come together in some later unreleased chapter, it would make more sense, but right now it's a very poorly designed system.
