Seems like the gaming media is becoming more open about how corrupt and incompetent they are, apparently without realizing it.

When it seemed like Bethesda had reached the bottom when it comes to dumb games, nature turns around and produces an even dumber gamer!

First: what system did the guy use to play the game?

I'd like to see him play the game on a system containing blacklisted components.

Second: what are his "credentials", as in game playing history.

I can has suspicion.

Maybe you jackasses should read the rest of the article before you jump on this guy:

...and don't give me any of this "you're not an RPG person" business; while role-playing games are far from my favorite genre, I have played my fair share of Dragon Quest games over the years

Uh, so there!

But we must try to understand each other. He admits he's not a gamer, so why can't we all get along? Love is the key to understanding. All you need is love!

Shit taste is no excuse. I don't listen to music but that doesn't mean my top is composed of rap and hippity hop.

Dupes And Fellow Travelers

Dupes And Fellow Travelers

How much of the entertainment industry is devoted to actual product crafting, and how much is it a war for 'hearts and minds'?

A war footing exists with all the extravagant swashbuckling propaganda plying the vapors of commercial space.

B-soft appears to be one entity jousting the top of the hierarchy, the leading edge of this fashion fashioned pyramid.

Why?

B-soft is winning the propaganda war.

Guess from the moral tone of Scotty's dubious confessional ... falls the following drivel ...
All the time and resources devoted by B-soft to exploiting the game advertising media meant nothing to me. Same old circus.
Any irrational romantic bonding with a previous B-soft product is absent from any of my known self delusions. (Same old circus.)
The hook was the FO IP on the PC. Got my attention and limited time and resources, as did FOT.
Don't feel 'pwned' by the market-eers; didn't buy, didn't try Mass Effect.
Don't feel 'pwned' by the system; did buy, will try King's Bounty.
Surely none here feel 'pwned' since they had similar moments of 'choice and consequence'.
Any right and wrong? Well that's for those in god mode to pontificate.

B-soft merchandising wins this day and the next day until the present bubble bursts,
and the next Ponzi or Madoff rides the herd in the direction it is going.

B-soft is winning the propaganda war.

The winner does not care what you or I or little lost Scotty THINK.

The winner wins by what we DO.

Whether by fear and intimidation OR tits and ass the motivational hooks pull to action--satisfaction.
Matters not which end of Pavlov's Dog wags. The act of the moment determines who has the most toys.

The winner wins by what we DO.

The sales numbers equal "win".

The votes for GOTY equal "win".

If we squeeze some squeaking gratification out of FO3, and / or, the media circus, and / or, the horse it rode in on,
then we get a little trickle down, tactical, "win" too.

Oh boy, another action FPS rpg . Yeah. More. Fun. {squeak - squeak}

:)

Maybe "soon" there will be something to choose, something other then staying on the route of the herd simply because there is no other route available.

Anyway, i enjoyed that post a lot. Read it by the music from bethesdalove link just from above.
