I find it a bit sad that this was probably rushed out to 'compete' with a fucking DBZ game.

Only a bit though since SF is also dumb in a narrative way. Only Raul Julia saved M. Bison in the movie from being only a massive ham by massive charisma (in addition to being a ham).

Movie Street Fighter doesn't have anything to do with what happens in the games.

street fighter has a narrative?

EDIT: ok ok yes i have seen the anime movies (SF2 the animated movie and SF alpha anime) and both are pretty fucking entertaining.

my point still stands though: nobody who likes SF likes SF for its ((deep lores)).

But people that do like Street Fighter also like its lore. There is a whole big Street Fighter Plot Guide made up of a bunch of Japanese source books that's been around for over a decade now that SF fans read.

The movies incidentally aren't canon, (at least the ones that didn't come with the games) although stuff from them does find its way into the games...like the events of Street Fighter 4 with Seth basically being the same thing as the first Street Fighter Alpha anime, and Brainwashed Ken happening to Ryu in the Alpha series and then later Brainwashed Ken showing up in that new SF2 on Switch.

Anyways, this Collection is kind of weird. They make a big deal about them all being the arcade versions, but I'd rather have the Dreamcast version of Alpha 3/Upper. That Dreamcast (and later arcade version) had more characters added in; it also had stuff like the two-on-one mode, and the World Tour mode (which was such a good idea Capcom never did it again) where you could edit your characters moves.

I was really good at SF: HD Remix. Only the top dudes could beat me. FFS, not sure how the fuck these dudes get so good. It's ridiculous. My win/loss ratio sucked because if I got lucky and beat one of these top dudes they always quit. Fucking bitches. Craziest thing I did was pull a 7-hit combo with Deejay during a ranked game.
