A CD Projekt Red document outlining the company's strategy for the years 2013-2016 reveals plans to bolster its Witcher and/or Cyberpunk series with smaller, but still relatively big, games.

The document says that, somewhere between 2014 and 2016, CD Projekt Red will produce "two smaller (playing time approximately 20 hours,) but chart-topping quality titles supporting one of the product lines." That's an approximate machine translation of the original Polish, anyway. A mobile game based on one of those is also planned.

In before The Sorceress: Adventures of Triss?

Hey, if they're small, maybe one of these games could even be PC-exclusive.

From the original document there are some interesting points.

In 2013:
  • open beta of the REDKit and more support for modding community
  • release of a non-computer Witcher game (TW boardgame)

In 2014-2016:
  • simultaneous release in 2014 on at least 3 powerful platforms, PC and PS4 included. :decline:
  • cross-platform mobile game based on one of our brands :decline: (guess they mean iOS/android)
  • start selling licences for REDengine (I wonder if they have anyone lined up already)
  • long term support for TW3, using brand new mechanisms (NOT mechanics). I guess this means DLC...
  • release of full version of REDkit and more support for modding community

GOG-related:
  • new full, drm-free games released at the same time as other platforms
  • two big R&D projects aimed at accelerating GOG development in the next years - should gaben tremble in his boots

The bold part is tactical combat (could be just a buzzword, but it could also imply that even if it is twitch-based FNFF will make it very unforgiving unlike typical popamole). Other things it does mention which do sound good are "gameplay freedom", varied classes supporting different kinds of playthroughs and of course nonlinearity (but we already knew that bit as CDP RED kept hammering across they want to make it a sandbox).

Also mentions a degenerate society, guess we can be sure Awor will like it (as if the fact he likes the setting wasn't enough already).
