Never found a use for antibiotics. I never get cold, always moving I guess. Back when they were first introduced I walked in the rain for ten minutes, went down to zero and was coughing and shaking all the time. Played like that for a couple of days. Now I'm not sure how you get your temp down. I imagine that will change in a future patch.

PS Sent you an invite, not sure if it will work. Steam seems pretty clunky and glitchy still. Thought it would be better by now.

Shit I lost a suppressed M4 to the bugs.

I have now three extra toolboxes. If anyone wants one, pitch a tent at a good sekkret spot, tell me where and the server name. I'll put it in the tent.

In fact, we should create a KKKodeks Reserve Bank. When you find good stuff that you don't need, stash it there for those of us in need. And I already have compiled a short list of perfect tent hiding spots.

Get a mic and get on vent. I can't be bothered to use steam, alt-tabbing out when crawling through cities or trying to navigate at 100km/hr. We already have several reserve tents for getting kitted up again.

We also have vehicles. They're kind of a pain, keep losing them, finding new ones, repairing them, stashing them, losing them, finding new ones, etc. Sometimes all the items get wiped for some reason. Or they mysteriously repair themselves. Here's the four I was checking up on (and it gets tiresome without a GPS): An ATV, White offroader, UAZ and a Landrover.

And I found two more while looking for the landrover, an ATV and a Ural Truck.

We don't even need six vehicles, I don't think more than three or four of us ever play at the same time. Oh well, guess it's usefull for when someone steals one, we'll still have a few on hand.

After 72 hrs of DayZ I can honestly say I've not had this much fun online since the beta for UO. Last night I logged onto a server and had the good fortune to stumble onto an M4 rifle and stalked a treeline near prigorodky. I had been playing for nearly two days without much sleep and decided to take a nappy but I didn't want to log off so I just found some good cover (nestled into an embankment with pine trees) and took a snooze with my headphones on. There's nothing more exciting than being awoken by footsteps or distant gunfire. Every little noise that didn't sound like the ambiant sound loop would stir me to scan the ridge for enemies. Dear fucking god, did I just LARP?! The only downside to this sort of behavior is it makes the thirst/hunger meter seem a little unrealistic as you could literally die in a short amount of time just laying prone in cover. All in all GoTY.

Not really, you can run across the entire map without eating or drinking anything without losing blood. When you are prone and not on the move, you can last a day.

But that's a pretty cool thing to do, sleeping with headphones in the game.

Ah, good to know. I take it thirst/hunger just affects combat ability?

Once the food/drink things start flashing you have about 5-10 (?) minutes before you start losing health. Being dehydrated seems to make you fatigue faster, too.

I don't think thirst / hunger affect your combat abilities in any way. You start losing blood if they're flashing red for a while.

Didn't have time play DayZ for the last 2-3 weeks. Logged on today and I am quite happy with the result. Got an ALICE backpack, Glock and a DMR with 8 mags. Awesome! Although I don't have any pistol ammo left because I've used all of my three Glock mags. BTW Glock sucks ass. Even Makarov is better. That makes going into towns a big problem since firing a DMR will attract every zombie in town. Have 7000 blood left. That's not good either, but I will probably go hunting next time I log on. Gonna cook some meat and my health will be back up in no time.

The only problem with Glock is the sights. 15-17 rounds per mag. What's not to like? You suck. Real men don't waste bullet on zombies anyway. Get a hatchet, faggot.

From what I know the G17 is one of the quieter secondary weapons, does the same damage as a makarov, has an infinitely larger magazine and a built in flashlight. Every single aspect of the gun is better.I wish I could into hatchets, but it always turns into some sort of brawl between me and the zombies and I lose about 500 blood in the process.

Actually yes, we yawl r.

(does that get me into the cool crowd?.. Yuk yuk)

I just took everyone on a suicide mission. It was kind of cathartic. I'll post it in a bit.
