Ah great, the beta patch fucked my game. Resets game resolution to half the monitor standard and the window dimensions to a weird non-standard one every time I run the game. It's blurred as fuck and for some reason, the GPU fires up the fans to the max even though all settings are the lowest they can be. FTS.

Ahhh. I'm no expert here but make sure your something like 'Interface' and '3D Rendering' match. I have no IDEA why they do that, put them together. Kill the AA if you need to and definitely the Post Processing: off. Good luck.

Beta patch fucks nothing bro. If anything it's more stable than stable version. And it doesn't change/replace any stable 1.60 game files so no need to reinstall anything. Just launch an original exe instead of beta's exe.

However hands growing out of an ass do fuck things up.

Ran the beta installer. Let it do its thing.
Put the .cmd where the OA exe was and ran it.
Game is fucked up.

Anyway, already reinstalled. I'm not touching that beta shit again.

Beta doesn't affect your game at all. It doesn't change a single file. Then again CorpseZeb is maybe correct


Also I just had a 5 hours-long monocle run with a group of 5 :M
The increased numbers of zombies were no match for our serious firepower. And apart from an unlucky guy we found in one of barracks (whom we killed and robbed) we didn't encounter any human. Wonder why lul

The beta installer tells you that to remove the beta, you have to reinstall the game.

Also, fucking zombies that climb ladders.

And saw a strange thing happen: next to the indicators on bottom right, there was a compass for a very short while but it disappeared as I moved on. Environmental stuff?

Speaking of bandit groups...
I was looting a isolated town's church and chatting on global when I spot a bandit crawling away from the entrance and I heard a pistol went off, then a couple of bandits running around him. I caught their names, more importanly their clan tag, a group of around 4 players with that tag is on the server and I'm guessing that they are a bandit clan.
I took up position behind the pews and grab my grenade, I threw as they come charging in. Two of them came at me at the same time, a well-coordinated assault where each took a side (charging me from my left and right), while the rest came in from the entrance. I didn't hear any fire from them, and wondered where did my grenade go, did I threw it out of the church? Then I was knocked down with ringing in my ears and the server message came up that I killed two. I lay there unconscious while one of the survivors put a bullet in my head. I'm guessing that I got knocked down from a bullet and not hurt from my own grenade.
Time for them to reformulate their assault tactics. :/

Found a stash in the middle of nowhere that respawns new items every few minutes if you take all the previous items from there. Got a CZsomething scoped rifle, AK Kobra, a shotgun, an ALICE, plenty of bandages, assorted ammo, flares, morphine, painkillers. So much stuff I had to leave a LOT. I don't know if it was specific to that point or a general mechanic but the more I waited, more zombies spawned out of thin air in front of me. The place eventually got too risky. I didn't have that happen elsewhere before.

I wish it was one big giant persistent world across servers so when I hid stuff in a spot, it would be there when I came back.

It's a one big giant persistent world across all servers. Your char is saved across all servers and I think your tent too (but I've read reports a week ago that saving tents is still buggy which may have been fixed since it's possible to find them - we found two yesterday, nearly empty though)

In the next updates Rocket is planning to expand fortification functionality too - to help players create safe havens against zombies. He is also working on a group system. Basically you will be able to invite players into the group, possibly see each other marked in the game world and use group chat.

I've already seen plenty of fences placed strategically to fend off zombies. Too bad they hack through walls, negating fences when used by buildings. Also found fence kits. I think it takes two people to set a fence up. I wasn't able to set one by myself.

I guess clouds in Russia are just different, like everything else.

It's not the clouds.

It's camouflaged. It's just that some morons can't place them properly. One of the tents we found was in the middle of the field. This was retarded.

Dudes I play with have a "tent city". Basically many tents hidden in the forest with a shitton of weapons and ammo in them. Nobody seem to have robbed it yet.

Yeah I think right now zombie hit implementation is some kind of a hit zone in front of it not taking into account objects. Zombies were created from scratch though, including their "intelligence" so Rocket will debug them yet.

At first I thought there was a coordinated mass zombie extermination movement going on, because there were about 200 zombies when I joined and it was steadily going down. I ran through every building in Cherno and Elektro with a couple of guys when the Z-count hit 0. Then, suddenly, dozens of them spawned around us and we got fucked. I myself died while climbing a ladder and failing to land on the platform, falling down. Fucking glitches.

And just now, two shitstains shot me dead in the woods. All my loot gone, again. I had the jump on them, actually, I could easily take the two of them but they weren't bandits so I cut them a slack. But then they spotted me and I knew I was fucked when they immediately split left and right to flank me. All of my sweet loot gone. Goodbye AK Kobra, had fun with you. Gonna walk all the way to the spawn spot again.

Played with Chef_Hathaway today. Not sure if that's his nickname here. He got headshot by some dude with a sniper while I got rushed by zombies. I managed to escape, but I died from blood loss shortly after, hidden in a building, trying to get my bearings together. There's always some nice lewt there, at the power plant in Elektro. Many people die there so there's nice stuff to loot. It's quite risky, though.
Now I'm outside of Elektro, to the west. Found some nice stuff in Prigorodky. Gonna head up the hills and maybe rendezvous with Chef to fight the good fight.
