Oh man I hope they add a second lantern colour with lantern dual wielding which combines them into a 3rd colour so you can spend thrice as much time laboriously dragging your crosshair around every map and boss fight looking for things to click on. Also, add more objects for enemies to sit behind besides crates and barrels. Maybe they could sit behind a cardboard cutout of a scantily clad damsel to lure you in close or they could also sit inside a giant birthday cake with a sign sticking out that says "FREE CAKE, NOT A TRAP"

Did this game even sell that well enough to warrant a sequel? It felt underwhelming in pretty much every regard.

Completely pointless announcement, no one has any idea whether this studio will even exist by 2026.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
All the games in the series flopped hard, I wonder if the studio keeps making them to launder money.

What is it about this game that triggers so many people?

I think that a very interesting thing actually happens here. If a game is a complete shit, it doesn't trigger anyone - people will just label it appropriately and forget about its existence soon after (like Forspoken or this Gollum game). But, in the case of LotF reboot, they actually managed to do many things right (level design, exploration, build variety), and the game is the closest thing the players had to give this 'Dark Souls 4' experience. At the same time, the creators made some sub-optimal decisions here and there that make people irritated (Umbral world enemy spam, copy & pasted encounter design, low enemy variety, very easy bosses), which made the overall experience of the game much worse. I think people are just frustrated that with one different person at a specific position (eg. replace the creative director with someone else), the overall feeling of the game would be much, much better.
