Acutally I don't think it was. It was crap anyway; Menzoberanzzen is superior. (not that thats saying much).

Agree, but I have recently played Menzo, Im a fan of the forgotten Realms so Im looking to play all the game set in the FRs and I think this is the only one I haven't replayed recently because I know it was released unfinished.

I couldn't find anything about it being finished with patches or anything, so I think Im going to pass on it.

Despite a generally negative opinion on it, I seem to vaguely remember something interesting about this game, I can't quite pinpoint what it was though.

I believe it was the fact that you were sent from town in small quests into different maps, by usage of the inn's "elevator".

goddamn that game was bad. I remember reading a review of it and experiencing the same thing the reviewer was complaining about: If you ran down a staircase, you would go so fast that you would pick up off the ground, and when you landed you took damage.

I still have the CD... every time I go through them I wonder why I kept it. A quick google doesn't find any unofficial patch, just the 1.3 that was already mentioned.

Definitely a candidate for a LP

Unfortunately I don't have the time to do a LP topic on this game. But from what I have heard about it, it sounds like it would make for good comedy.

If you are really looking for a Menzo type experiance I suggest ravenloft II, Strahds possession. It uses a modified menzo engine. (Menzo in turn, used the Ravenloft I engine)

Ravenloft II Strahds Possession is downloadable for free at underdogs.

If you really want one, I'd do it. I have the game working just fine in DOSbox and since I'm currently playing Battlespire, it isn't much of a stretch to play Undermountain.

Undermountain is a helluva lot easier.

I uploaded a video of it here for all to witness its shitty-ness.

As others have said, the game was never truly patched. Now IF you want the worst RPG experience in history and want to share(torture) others with it, be my guest.

Ravenloft I is Strahd's Possesion. Ravenloft II is Stone Prophet.

I recall another positive thing about this game: you could attack any NPC if I'm not mistaken? It was easy to turn the starting Inn into a war zone from the start (and get killed in the process...)

The thing I remember best about this game were the reviews, pounding it into the ground with force of a soviet tank division.
