I wanted to suggest an NPC with actual mechanics.

Name:
? (Doppleganger)

Description: This NPC will be randomly designated at the start of a new game. The designation that is chosen is whom the doppleganger will replace. All non-vital NPCs are up for replacement. A nobody NPC that wanders the streets, an item merchant, or some other backer NPC could all be potentially chosen at the start of a new game. Whomever is chosen is irrevocably replaced by the Doppleganger.

The doppleganger will possess a jumbled, nonsensical version of the replaced NPC's greet dialogue. Further inquiry will provide the player with a disturbing if barely sensical tale. Depending on the player's actions toward this NPC, they may become cursed or hindered in some permanent, eerie way.

Attacking the doppleganger is pretty foolhardy I would think, it'd be nice if there were efforts put upon it to make killing it impossible, even with cheats :)

The idea behind this thing is to create an experience that is memorable. Coming across a "glitched" NPC that speaks in a spooky way could be kind of creepy, especially if you answer one of their bizarre riddles wrong and receive misfortune as a result.

Fate: Yes, whatever

NPC Type: Random

NPC Location: Random

NPC Race: Random

Fuck, could I just post a youtube video instead of what I'm imagining? I'd love if we got an NPC like this guy. He's creepy and "harmless" in all the right ways, but I'd love it if he weren't in a static location, he could just be anywhere, wearing the face of anyone:

Are there any resources available on the Numenera setting? A bit about the history? I went to the website and it talked about there being 8 civilizations. Is there any info on the 8th civilization?

inXile is way too in to Social Justice. Do something that makes fun of that so they have to implement it.
Can you give examples? Maybe I can think of a way to make fun of it.

Submitted this description to fit the 400 character limit:

Originally a party of 3 (Glaive, Nano, Jack). They entered a portal in the Bloom, and emerged from the other side fused into a single blob. Forced to move together as one, they explored a maze of straight corridors and right angles, full of traps, puzzles and monsters. After finding a way out, they now seek a fourth adventurer to join their collective. Players can suggest it look for a Bard.

Infinitron can send BN the rest. Went for Before the Fall artwork because that's associated with this for some reason.

I'm now taking suggestions for the rest of this stuff:
