In DX you rarely given a choice to make any at all.
In Deus Ex it is true that there aren't as many dialogue options as in a Bioware game, but then it also has choices that are outside of dialogue, so it about evens out. Like whether or not to kill my former Unatco comrades or take them out non-lethally. Or whether to stay fighting with Paul or to run away. Or whether or not to kill the former leader of the Illuminati by ending his life support. All valid choices you can make outside of dialogue. And in terms of actual consequences for your actions, there is rough equality between Deus Ex and Bioware games.
