The execution might suck, that doesn't mean the idea is wrong. Games don't have to be mindless pieces of entertainment.
Yeah. The irrationalist fallacy goes like this: in the past, most cRPGs have (insert some irrelevant factor here like retarded story, unbalance or no choices), but they were fun. Therefore, the games nowadays are bad because they try to be balanced, have meaningful stuff or C&C!
You see, instead of realize the obvious, i.e., that most games nowadays are bad because they try to squeeze out money from brain dead causals, they blame rationality.
