There's an updated over at the Devil Whiskey site for those who have held off buying this until you get something physical you can hold and take to the can with you. Here's what that is:

Greetings, one and all! It's been a while since our last update, and we have some exciting news! We are working hard on our promised content update, and have decided that when it is released (we're targeting early-to-mid March), we will also include many of the most common feature requests, including mouse support and party gold! Have no fear, however - if you like the game the way it is, these and all the other new features will be configurable!

This brings up our second topic, an update on the boxed edition. With such a major update due out in early-to-mid March, we have decided that the production of the boxed version will occur at that time. This allows our current and future fans to purchase the very best we have to offer! Remember, if you pre-order the boxed edition now, you will have immediate access to the download version! If you haven't tried Devil Whiskey yet, check it out in our Download area, and as always, questions and comments are welcome, and enjoy Devil Whiskey!

I'm a huge fan of game boxes. I have hundreds of them in a window, collecting dust.

Yeah, there is some - you can encounter a box with mouse support...but seriously, what could you have against the random encounters? Its kinda logic that if you wander around some certain place you can possibly run into some certain encounter.

Of course the fact that townspeople keep jumping you while you walk around what always appears to be an absolutely deserted city of no great size is something to consider. I think I depopulated that town four times over in the demo.
