Have Securom, it's never caused me problems, so I'm not going to fiddle with it - that'll be more trouble than it's worth.

That's not to say it's not a piece of bloatware that has caused massive problems with games in the past. Just haven't had many issues m'self.

Personally I'd like to know exactly what SecuROM is doing. Obviously it does nothing to prevent piracy. Strangely it's been included in some demos like the Spore Creature Creator and Tomb Raider Anniversary. There are claims it sends and receives information over the internet which would explain it's inclusion in demo's. If that's true what kind of information are they gathering?

Personally I'd like to know exactly what SecuROM is doing.
To tell the truth this is really starting to scare me, the less I know about it the faster I want it off of my PC.

A word of caution though- do not remove it if you've got a game with securom protection installed. Unless you crack it, that is :)
