You missed version 1.0 and 2.0, this is 3.0 of Tali fan treads.

Version 2.0 got locked by Stanley Woo after some wild fantasy's came up about putting Miranda in a gas chamber, because the Quarians suffered a Cerberus attack.

About the DRM , well players lost:

-companion armor customization limited to not visible belts ,rings and necklaces
-race and origin choices
-companion class customization
-dual wielding warrior , Arcane warrior gone , rogues can't use swords, not that it was needed.
-party banter is scripted to certain locations
-less dialogue lines
-friendly fire on nightmare only available
-proper iso camera , you can pull back , but not up.
-less skills and spells
-crafting that only requires finding a resource .
-game is shorter
-approval system gone, rivalry that looks like the paragon/renegade system added.

And a wast majority of more traditional RPG players is seeing DAO as a RPG lite.

Players got 11 types of DLC, before release, 5 sec of PC gameplay footage and DRM.
PC version that shapes in to a ME2 style port, where one had to exit to menu to read the Codex.
a dialogue wheel with intent icons and again with a paraphrasing system.

You can add presumption of innocence as a customer(DRM), or Treated as a valued customer(Price Hike) to the list of things that are lost.

Edit: Yeah, that In Exile fellow sucks the Biocock HARD. Im surprised he hasnt had an aneurysm from sucking it so hard for so long. Dyson, never lose suction.

That picture shows the truth. :D

Although (and this may sound stupid), this would be a step forward for Bioware. In their recent games, it is all about the action, you can only solve problems with fighting. Even if there is an option in the dialogue to avoid fight, usually you end up fighting. At least in this picture, you really solve a problem with diplomacy. Of course the dialouge options are still the boring Bioware types.

BTW, does anyone else find that emo-hair is completely out of place in a high fantasy setting, and moreover they totally clash with the beard?

I'm undecided if this is a bad thing or good. On one hand, they're removing a feature of 'RPG's' that's been around for 30 years, even though it started out with nothing but a new palette. But on the other, they don't have the artistic capabilities to make armor. Just look at the three badly made leather armor types in DA:O, that looked nothing like leather armor. Watch less animu, watch more medieval european battlefield casual fashion. Well doesn't matter now. So less of everything, cutting out tons of content, but for what? It's shorter too. Fully voiced protagonist did this?

Also, I tried out Saints Row 2 earlier this morning. Uuugh what a horrible looking GTA clone. But even then, the character editor was more complex than anything BW has ever done.

Someone here needs to bring an end to the 10000 page thread with some similar fantasies of their own.

I've got the impression that the hard core Bioware fan boys and girls are EMOs, so it's only befitting. And it's also one more reason for me not to buy it.

I feel really bad for the guy who actually has to monitor that thread.
