This is it? This is the best that they can come up with? They make us wait for a splash page with a time and a date on it? I know it's nothing new, but I'd still have expected more from Bioware.

And seriously, they couldn't do better than premiering their trailer on a poorly rated network station at one in the morning? If you're going to premiere the first trailer for your new product in any format other than Quick-time you've got to be able to do better than that. At least put it in front of the new nerd movie of the week or something. At least then you know that people will see it.

Look at that. A patch for NWN like 6 years after it's release. Or 5? 2002 or 2003?

Which is different than Blizzard still releasing patches for Starcraft and Diablo II, how?

Because nobody cares about the NWN one.

Honestly, I hope Dragon Age: Origins is the first of a trilogy. That way I can support one of my favorite modern developers by paying them $150 dollars to play the full game instead of just $50.

To be fair, Bioware removed the CD check from NWN a few years ago, where Blizzard is just now getting around to removing it from Starcraft and Diablo 2.

Pretty cool when a game company will do that, IMO.

OK, let's be honest about this. Blizzard did a teaser page for 5-7 days vefore revelaing Diablo 3.

I agree that the info on Diablo 3we got probably was better than Bioware's info seems to be on Dragon Age: Origens

To me, I'm just sort of thrilled that we finally have some info on this game, Dragon Age: Origens.

I do think that myabe Bioware and EA were a little shocked by the announcement of Diablo 3; they then decided to make the announcement soonish than latish - just to keep up with Blizzard maybe??
And to get the info out there - just before E3...

I think maybe Bioware still in their minds think of themselves a small indie developer instead of very big Independent Commercial developer that can afford to let Gamespot's On the Spot premier the
trailer. Maybe, they'll do that later?? I don't know SPIKE-TV, but as a European I'm mad that it is 1AM friday night/saturday morning. Thank Gygaxx (the demiilich) that it is availabe on gametrailers, too.[someone will riip it to youtube, I bet...although this might soon be forbidden...at least in Europe where the EU-Parliament apparently voted yes on a bill to yank (close) people's internet if they had uploaded coprighted material three times in total...but I digress]

The name: Dragon Age: Origens seems to suggest that there will be more Dragon Age games; only a good thing this can be :)

Because nobody cares about the NWN one.

Except for the still substantial, still quite active NWN modding community.

There's a reason why they still sell original NWN products in stores, just the same as Blizzard products that are even older.

I found it odd the sub title "Origins". Is that a reminder to what EA did to Origin, and what is to come.

EA announced that they will squeeze 500 games out of Bioware intellectual properties in 5 years. Yes, only a good thing this can be.

If they are forced to release games every year, then maybe, being not able to focus on engines, they can direct their attention to the actual gameplay. They could take all of the faults in to account and tweak the minuses in to pluses(Bioware games often have huge, glaring flaws which can easily be corrected). Sure, this lowers originality but we don't really expect new and interesting settings from Bioware :ME:.

Huh? Where did I even mention Blizard and their patches there? Dumbass.

You didn't, I provided them as an example of another company that still patches old products in response to your incredulity. Think before you post, yeah? I know that this is the Codex, but not everything is an attack.

Then you because spammed about Blizzard in a BIo thread for no reason. I wasn't even attacking Blizz nor did I say that they were the *only* company who supported their older games. In essenece, we're wasting posts on a non issue. L0L

That's it? No pics? Not even some lousy concept art? Or a feature list? I hope the trailer's worth it at least.

asking vol to be coherent during 1-2 minutes o' taped video might be asking too much. vol has problems being coherent in posts on a message board where he can take all time he wishes to 'fore he hits the submit button.

maybe you can script something for him... takes the vol factor out o' the equation. maybe makes it a codex contest: prepare the best script for vol's minion submission.

am betting he actually says "roofles."

HA! Good Fun!

No offence, Volly, but that big guy looks exactly as I'd imagine you. The only thing missing is a small crown.
