All that's left to do now is put Dragon's Dogma 2 out of my mind for years; easier said than done. And in all seriousness, I don't expect it being published until at least late 2025, if that.

It's probably coming next year. Dragon's Dogma 2 was originally set to release alongside Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil 4 Remake this year. Street Fighter 6 is probably coming out in like February next year, the RE4 remake is coming out March 24 of next year, and Dragon's Dogma 2 (which was originally meant to come out before both in the 2nd quarter of this year) sometime later. Maybe it gets pushed to early 2024 because Capcom has some other stuff coming out next year too, but a 2023 release wouldn't be a surpris.

Cautious half chub.

All this, "oooh Dark Souls and Dragon's Dogma are different games... they can't possibly be compared" is pure BITCHMADE ENERGY to protect Dark Souls.

DRAGON'S DOGMA FUCKING RAPES DARK SOULS OF ITS DIGNITY.

Now Dragon's Dogma II, headed by prodigal son Itsuno, 8 inches long, it's here to destroy Elden Ring. He could've made DD2 probably years ago but DS3? Lmao. Little jobber games, no more than expansion packs. Not worth Master Itsuno's time to get to work on. But he saw Elden Ring, saw all the praise, saw it all and what did he decide? "It's time."

Miyazaki is about to be made Itsuno's BITCH as everyone enjoys high fantasy ARPGing DONE RIGHT. Suck dick and die if you ain't down with it. BITCH.

I guess that's a possibility. But nowadays studios have the infelicitous habit of announcing a game half a decade before it is anywhere near complete.

I wonder how the RE engine will work with Dragon's Dogma.

It will look very good.

If Devil May Cry 5 is any indication it should all be good. Switch Monster Hunter runs on RE Engine too, as does that new Exoprimal game that's throwing tons of enemies on screen at once and looks like it has destructible environments.

Dark Souls is good. Overrated but pretty good nonetheless. Dragon's Dogma is way better. Now, Elden Ring is very very good, so Dragon's Dogma 2 will be the best game ever created

I hope they won't step up into the MMO category, DD1 had FedEx quests and I hated them.

But, having now talked to Itsuno himself through some highly-private back channels (and having promptly closed the chat before he could make me sign an NDA), I can reveal in full exclusivity that Dragon's Dogma 2 will not feature a player-created character. Instead, Valmiro will be the main protagonist we'll incarnate as he endeavors to gather herbs, a robust lantern, and various sundries for a long expedition. As well, Itsuno has done away with the Pawn system; instead, the player/Valmiro will be followed by a cohort of Feste clones.

Now, either that conversation happened, or I inhaled too much fumes emanating from mediocrepoet's leaky gasoline can.

So basically it's the Witcher 4 that CDPR never made.

And it'll run above 5 fps at release.

Much as I'll want to play it, I might skip it for a few years because I'm sure they'll inflict Denuvo upon us, like they've done with everything else they released after DD's PC port...
