Hedeaki Itsuno and Capcom decided to make the shortest possible height for the player character be taller than the average height of their own countries females.

https://en.llcig.com/average-height-in-japan-2023/
the average female height in Japan is significantly lower than the average male height and is 159.5 cm (5 feet 2.8 inches)

At this point I'll assume height is the starting frame size; then you then can adjust things like torso, arms, neck, and leg length down. Otherwise where would pics like this come from? I don't care much, but I remember reading about interesting side effects of having small pawns, even down to their lanterns going out when they cross streams and being taught to put them away before crossing, being blown away by strong winds etc.

The game is also looking a little bit too woke for my taste,
What's woke about it?
... a statment of some kind ...
The only statement here is that you're suffering from brain rot caused be being terminally online

They are quite proud of creating furry bait for zoophiliacs.
> RPG massively inspired on old school pnp settings/systems - all of which included cool humoid races with distinct mechanical properties, like massive "Lionmen" for super strong warriors classes
> immediately starts thinking of sexual fetishisms

Is there something you want to tell us anon?

Didn't Capcom get blasted by fans recently due to implementing some kind of DRM which prevents modding in some of their already released games?

https://www.levelup.com/en/news/771...l-decision-after-criticism-and-review-bombing

"Due to an issue observed with the latest update released, we have reverted the corresponding update," Capcom explained upon seeing the community's complaints.
The point is that the company stated that it will resolve the problem and will re-release an update for the title. For now, it is unclear whether it plans to add Enigma Protector again at some point in the future.

People who want to sell you DLCs instead of being able to download potentially infinite, free, competitive content.

No, I'm pretty sure it's a post-2012 issue like he said.

Edit: Imagine rating Golden Axe 3 shit. Can't relate and you'll never fly into free.

Capcom went all in on MTX and selling cosmetics. Just take a look at the MH Rise steam page, there are dozens of skins for weapons and armor there. In the past games all that used to be free and earned in game. Similar thing with SF6. If you can simply download a mod them there is no reason to spend money on all that crap.

I never bothered with Rise, the whole game world is so fucking flat in comparison to World.

I remember that Cheatengine got into some trouble because you could unlock DLC.

Also Japs love to sell cheat codes for money which any trainer can give you for free.

I think Capcom stance on mods is simply part of Japanese culture stance on intellectual property - which seem something along the lines of: "someone else's work is unique to them, so it's not even meant to be modified"
This then is further inflamed by their corporate culture, approaching these legalistic matters very literally...
