Anyone hear anything new about the English release yet? It says January 2009 on the website.

Just wanted to post since this got bumped.

Played the demo. It's a very NWN1 sort of experience but with more retro-stylized 2D assets; and it's somewhat Guild Wars-ish in the 3D visuals department (and arguably has an almost Asian feel about it-- maybe it's the bright palette).

Translation seemed fine to me. Dialogue trees are pitch-perfect Bioware-efficient boilerplate, and perhaps as forgettable.

The engine (which is open source!) runs beautifully. Seriously, it's the best optimization I've seen in a long time. (If you have a 6600 series card, you needed to upgrade, say, three or four years ago. My 8800GTX, which I've had for two years and is now midrange at best, ran it flawlessly.)

I'm kind of surprised the Kodex doesn't seem more excited about this one, tbh.

RoK did not make a big splash outside of the Vaterland I daresay. Not to mention this new iteration does not have the tactical turn based combat engine of the past three games. I am not desperate for this game at all, though I may very well pick it up due to the total absence of anything even passably decent (which this game may be).

Still, knowing the uproar that accompany every NWN2 tidbit, I too am somewhat surprised that nothing new has popped up here since this thread.

Had you read the few threads that popped up about the German version you'd understand why there is no reason to get excited about this game.
