The gameplay of this game is horrible, unbalanced hack and slash combat, a stupid console-style save system, levels full of insta-death traps. But somehow I cannot quit playing Enclave. Everytime after I have played a bit I curse it and vow to never start it up again, but after a while I go back and continue to play. Maybe it is because it reminds of games I played when I was younger like atomic runner.

So, do you guys (and gals) also totally hate a game but cannot stop playing it for weeks?

Hate is too strong, but playing without really enjoying it (at least after a while):
Ogame, D2, Morrowind, NWN 2, KotOR, Arcanum, ToEE.

I didn't play games I hate for weeks.
But I certainly finish many of them. Just for "sports" or something and also just to have a knowledge of what to tell mad fanboys.

Last time it was Mass Effect. Thankfully it was short enough so I've completed it.

I love Enclave... it's challenging but never feels cheap to me. I'm also not sure why you think the combat is unbalanced? I found it to work well enough.

I love the save system or lack of a save system anyway.

Treading water, but at least it's warm
Ninja Gaiden 2. NGB always seemed eminently fair and balanced to me (even Master Ninja), but the new one, while a blast to play on, say, Hard, really starts showing its weak spots at the higher difficulties. In the Normal and Hard the frame-rate and camera issues are easy to laugh off, but once you hit Very Hard (going from hard to very hard is like running full speed into a brick wall) these issues become much more aggravating.

Of course, the drive on my 360 is failing, so loading sucks ass too, which doesn't improve my mood. And still, I keep playing it.
