According to Ambrosia's web site, Escape Velocity Nova 1.0.9 has finally been released. This version clears up a number of outstanding bugs and balance issues. (For one thing, Thunderhead Lances are no longer quadratically powerful; damage scales linearly with the number of lances, just like it always did in the Mac version. For another, the multiple-starting-character-types feature used in many plugins actually works now.)

I'm downloading it now, but it'll be a little while before I can give it a spin; I've got the Avernum 4 beta to play with at the moment. (Nyaaaah.)

More space RPGs can only be a good thing. Must check this game out sometime.
