As you exit the Vault, you are faced with a world of moral ambiguity and a rather uncompromising style of humor; again trademarks of the Fallout series...Expect a lot of "fucks" as well as crass humor, but wrapped in an intelligent and ironic take on life.
Sounds good...or at least slightly promising...

While it's tough to judge how humor will be handled based on what we saw, Howard contends that the idea that "violence can be damn funny" (think Itchy and Scratchy) is key to capturing the franchise's morbid hilarity.
...nevermind.

turn-based combat mode V.A.T.S

Where are the turns? ROFLSLS LOL PS2.

I guess they could try to make the best of this silly system and allow you to only access inventory/heal and allow other actions beyond targeting in VATS (they probably wont), but still, I'm not getting the targetted shots = turnbased stuff.

Nobody is getting VATS. The magnitute of stupidity is such great that your brain cells consume themselves from attempting to comprehend.

I wonder why they keep revealing new characters that are critical to the plot in the wrong way. The wrong way being they'd only be important if the player character would care about them, but it doesn't look like we're getting to choose. Plot critical characters are a must, but please don't make them have any forced ties with the player. Gah. If Fallout was built around some awkwardly constructed personal vendetta against the master, the motivations would suck for 80% of the players.
