I only found 4 npcs you could have conversations with and they were all front-loaded "Hello, nice to meet you, here's my life story" and short at that.

I don't see how the player is supposed to care about a plot that revolves around a dozen or so tribals who say nothing but "Eek" "Ook" "Goot" and live in bedrolls getting attacked by a band of evil rival tribals.

Quests could've been pulled straight out of a modern mmorpg/bethesda game.

Burned Man a disappointment.

Very good walking sim though.

I think people are missing the point.

Honest Hearts offers no right solution, Zion is always lost ... if you evacuate the "physical" Zion is lost and if you fight the "spiritual" Zion is lost (loss of innocence to be more exact).

For all the bitching its funny how people miss that point, Zion Valley is one of the last remaining heavens on Earth, like the Great War never happened (if you discount the giant killer flora and fauna) and better still, the Sorrows seem to retain a type of innocence that no longer exists (thanks to "Father-in-the-Cave").

In the end the decision is "will Zion be the "Sorrows Lost Paradise" or "will Zion will be the Sorrows Lost Innocence".

Its not like Dead Money were the theme was "Letting Go" and of course what happened was people not letting go of the 37 Gold Bars that they cannot even sell at full price due to merchants having a cap and ones at the highest being at 8,000 caps when a bar is at 10,349, granted you can "play" with their inventory and get full price with caps + items but it becomes a exercise in futility were the real pay off is the Vending Machine in the Bunker and the Complimentary Voucher since its unlimited caps, in fact you can walk out with 80,000 caps by simply breaking the Bank at Sierra Madre Casino and trade those chips for pre-war money (that is weightless) and chances are you be walking out with far more that 10,000 pre-war money from the Sierra Madre.

But still people do not want to let go ... so people missing the point of Honest Hearts (that lacks the "perfect" result of Sierra Madre) seem to have miss the point of Dead Money.

The only thing were I think Honest Hearts disappoints is the lack of quests to do, it simply goes very fast (same with Dead Money that just make maps bigger by forcing the player to navigate mazes) and the map is not that big (honestly, it needed a few other maps as caves just dont cut it) so it feels small and the message does not have the same strength, even if the endings are certainly more powerful that Dead Money.

I thought the whole point with all the gold was so that you would die if you tried to take it all with you....

But....I grabbed every last bit and still managed to sneak past the BBEG and lock him in the vault :smug:

Then...i trekked all the way one crawl at the time back to new Vegas....shit was worth it :)

well....maybe not..in...balanced gameplay but i still got 27 ingots left and tons of hardware i bought with all the cash, just store it your penthouse and liquify what you can in weapons and caps.

Also...is the sidequests really worth it? In honest heart?

Maybe when all the DLC are in place i'll do a real goody toe shoe char(im such a fucking larper) and play through the shit if i got the time and enough ritalin.

Well you were not supposed to do that, I suppose you can but the idea was "letting go".

Honest Hearts is ... short, there is no way around it, you can beat it in a night play easily as the Valley allows the convenience of Fast Travel, unlike Dead Money were you had to do it on foot.

I could not honestly say its worthy the 10 bucks price, quests are few and short and the map is due to the nature being a valley and being a Gamebryo DLC is not very big, the few perks are also not that good either were nothing really stands up as useful.

The good thing about Honest Hearts is the unspoiled nature of the Valley and the tribes, even if its too few at least we get a couple of proper tribes were the Greak Khans simply do not cut it in that department, its short but when Waking Cloud interrupts and speaks out the optional ways to complete the "River Monsters","The Advance Scouts" and "The Treacherous Road" that is a plus but there is simply not enough or it does not feel to be enough ... the DLC really needed a few more larger maps, like having the Ambush before we entered the Valley proper on its own map or having the Great Staircase and the White Legs main camp as maps (as we never see the Great Staircase as the Three Marys is simply not much, even if its amusing seeing a Dead Horse setting up on fire a White Legs and then thrown him off the cliff its still not enough.

I suppose Old World Blue will be a better choice as since its seems to be a large facility, they can get away with more with rooms and corridors that with the open ground.

That was Fallout 3's ending plan.

No matter what you do, your father dies, you die or party member dies. Who not die? Fawkes who says culmination be making me think you should go in there and not I, the only one who can resist radiation.
WTF

also fucking perfect radiation suits and rad-x rad-away all fail. even if you got the perks or mutations so you resist radsl ike crayz.

The best part of the game:
hit uninstall.exe for total :incline:

While you could not have posted this in a more inappropriate thread, I feel your pain and groan in sympathy. I'd reload a save if you have one, that lich tower's not really to be tangled with until after the Frost Giants, as long as you want to do the optional Balor battle. Which you should.
