Which character out of all the RPGs (or other video games) you ever played is your favourite and why? It doesn't have to be the most prominent, or the most important one in the game.

Personally, I like Goto from KotOR2. His serious, logical way of interaction, coupled with a sublime sinister background and a dirty secret really appeal to me. He's like the Architect from the Matrix, their archetypes almost identical, their goals in essence the same, albeit with a difference in positions.

Jazhara from Return to Krondor is also good. Edwin from baldurs gate games. Also Xzar. And Cernd.

Kreia's a winner. But the Nameless One is still the best in terms of background history.

Okku. I wanna hug him. Does that make me gay? (oh wait nevermind, balls have to touch)

You want to hug a rainbow-colored bear. One can safely assume your balls withered and fell off a long time ago.

Well, since some good ones have been mentioned already, I'll go with Dagoth Ur, if only because of his slightly creepy (and slightly gay) mask.

Well, seeing as you're posting on a forum where every girl is a tranny, one could probably assume that yours did too.

Playable characters, you say? TNO wins, then Kain from the first Legacy of Kain.

As for NPCs: Harold, Fallout2.

Codex 2014 PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Serpent in the Staglands Divinity: Original Sin Torment: Tides of Numenera Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 BattleTech A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
There were few interesting npcs along Torment, most of them not really improtant to the story, like Qui-Sai, Many-as-one, Coaxmetal.

But still, Harold wins the competition.

Junpei - Persona 3
pretty much the whole cast (especially Chie) - Persona 4
Damsel, Romero - VtM:B
Olimar - Pikmin & Pikmin 2
GlaDOS - Portal

I'm usually really picky about characters I really like. They have to charm (or frustrate) me in a really particular way for me to REALLY call them favorites. There are plenty I like, but rather too many to name. Naming ones I HATE would also be entertaining.

I had a dislike for Lord British, what high horse bastard that you couldn't even kill.

But you could - you just had to find out how.

The Wire does kick arse, but Ive not been able to get anyone I know to watch it :(

Er... as for RPG characters, Jansen was quite amusing from Lost Odyssey. (Terribly average game). Cant say that game characters outside of adventure games have struck me as particularly memorable. Maybe its because they all take themselves so damned seriously.
