One really pissed off Russian gentleman Alex Dobrenko has sent me a rough translation of the reaction at the Russian Metalheart forums. The damn thing is too long, so I'll post (after some editing) only what actually makes sense and/or tells you something about the game:

Returned the game after another dumb fedex quest about a screwdriver. Why NPCs are so stupid and why do they need only this particular screwdriver from this particular location?! What's wrong with other screwdrivers?
Implants suck because the stats are screwed. Whatever implants add is useless, and what's useful doesn't work. Movement also sucks. It seems that that's how developers were trying to fix a very short game (long rant about different features that don't make any sense: weapons, healing, money, etc)
Good concept, too bad they game is raw and half done
It looks like developers wanted to make money on the Fallout fame. The game is unfinished, no patches would help here
Started playing and ... loaded Fallout instead. Unfinished game
No balance. As a Fallout veteran I expected a decent story and good quests. There are no good quests, only the fedex ones
Never been so disappointed. Other than insane amount of bugs, balance and length kill me. After an hour of playing you get the best gun that won't be replaced with anything else. Enemies should once per turn for min damage, while you shoot 12x2 (whatever the fuck that means - VD) or run through half a map. Why having all those features (weapons, party members, implants, pills) if they are absolutely useless?
And so on, and so on. More bitching about quests, useless features, poor balance, atmosphere, and extreme linearity. Great job, Akella!

HHahha... it's a damn shame, it is.

But hell - screwdriver is an original Metalheart concept, i guess ^_^ Like vault-boy in fallout.
And it represents the status of the game: SCREWED.

The Russian Metalheart forums have a thread already four pages long, devoted to listing the bugs. Hilarious reading, really. "Go into a bar, wipe everyone out, and the jazzband is still playing (dead bodies jerking up and down), and the dead fat lady at the stand still dances..." A cigarette FedEx quest, where a guy pays you a cool thousand for a ciggie, while a store selling them for pennies is right next door... Awesome. Entering locations to find out you're in a wall. Three unofficial patches already sent out by the devs, with the third one disabling saved games from previous versions. Oh, where are the fabled Russian devs :D (as it's apparent very few of those mythical, talent-dazzling demigods are working on Russian games)
Oh, well. The demo sucked big time. I didn't hold any big hopes for the game. Still it's sad...

Damnit. Another one bites the dust.

I guess it's up to Bethesda now to pull off an enjoyable post-apocalyptic crpg.
