God Obsidian programmers are such shit.

Such bullshit. They could have easily released a patch that modified HH and the vanilla game to avoid this issue. Add the Grunt perk to the vanilla game disabled and having HH turns it on to be picked during a level up.

It's not like this is the first time Obsidian has had a shitty, glitchy mess of a game. KotoR 2 is another example.

Except that dlcs can't be patched due to the nature of the engine either. They'd have to completely reupload the dlc, which Bethesda isn't going to bother with for just a minor perk.

Fun thing about the engine they are using, when you reference something from another mod in that mod, via script, or perk, it has to be included, or the mod itself has to be required. So, if they were to check for the grunt perk, they'd have to include the grunt perk a second time. Or they'd have to require a DLC for another DLC.

Happy to help explain things.

That still sounded a little confusing to me, but vault wiki makes it clear

The Grunt perk does not affect the Bozar, GRA assault carbine, or 25mm grenade APW. In order to do so, Gun Runners' Arsenal would require Honest Hearts as a master .esm file, which would prevent the Arsenal from loading if one were to not have purchased Honest Hearts.

Anyway, Grunt is one of those + x % damage perks. I wouldn't even have the strength to rage, much less post about it

- Well I know they won't but it's still a far cry from "no can't do it lulz". They could but they are too lazy to do so. They could also patch other shit in addition to doing that change but according to Chris/Sawyer, they closed up shop.
