Yes, I know the answer. They are beyond GOG's reach at the moment. I wonder if even Nightdive could manage to license them for remasters when they're either in a limbo or being held with the vice-like grip of EA and Ubifuck.

GOG no longer care about old games. In fact in most cases it does more damage since abandonware sites are forced to remove the games when it's available on GOG.
Sometime GOG installers don't even contain all the files of the original when for ex. they use emulation or fan made engines.

Naughty Dog Explained Why It Didn't Release The Nathan Drake Collection on PC. The studio explained that the first three parts of Uncharted are not visually impressive anymore, which is why it decided to port only Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy.Oct 20, 2022

Ha! Ok. Apparently Naughty Dog doesn’t realize what some people will play.

Not all Nightdive remasters are as shitty as that. Quake 2 is excellent, and Quake 1 would be too if it wasn't for the BethNet telemetry. That might also plague the Quake 2 remaster though, I haven't gotten to installing it yet. Doom64 and the System Shock 1 remaster were also flawless, but their remake of SS1 was just pointless.

This maybe true (I haven't checked these remasters).
But even there the original version was hidden as extra to the new version which is something I hate.
And before you blame the Beth for this, they pulled the same crap in the Blade Runner case before the fans forced them to keep the original version as separate product.

Is Quake 2 remaster REALLY that good though?
I heard some mixed stuff. They even gave the Berserker a really annoying jump attack...

A bit of variety is good, and the attack is something that was supposed to be in the original version. Nightdive used the original animation files to create it, among other new ones.

The berserker attack used to have a huge splash range but in a recent patch this was nerfed. I'm not a big fan of Quake 2, but I really enjoyed the new campaign. It adds some much needed environment diversity when compared to the original. It's worth a play, though I liked the new campaign for Quake 1 more, though that might also have to do with the fact that I like the gameplay in Q1 more than Q2.

Good. It wouldn't make sense that a man-sized cyborg would have strength enough to cause a shockwave with its hammer. The minimal splash damage range could be understood as the hammer landing on your toes :)

Original unfinished Atari 800 version - that required 48k of RAM - got leaked in 1984. It was impossible to finish - as the code for Montezuma statue was not implemented.

It was later on cut down to 16k by Parker Brothers, released and ported everywhere. The original ending had not fit into 16k. The game never ends - you just go through progressively harder levels 1-9 - and the level 9 loops indefinitely.

I'd love to play finished original version - but after 39 years I'll have to wait some more - because this version ain't it.

The Steam version was not working properly with Competition Pro Joystick - and in GOG version I cannot go back to main menu after losing all lives in 'Retro' mode. Some people report that the controls do not feel as responsive as in original.

Upcoming Montezuma's Revenge: Director's Cut will finally feature Montezuma statue. But it will be released as separate product - not as DLC for current game - some time in 2024 - after not hitting original 2023 release date:

Robert Jaeger should stop wasting the time on 'modern' look and other unnecessary features - and concentrate on implementing the missing ending. It's been almost 40 years and I still can't finish the game.

Beautiful 90s color graphics and a spell-binding storyline
Given that they show PC screenshots, I find that a bit deceptive. Almost every other version looks better than the DOS one
According to Mobygames the Memorial Set is a PC-98 version from 1990, which is actually one of the worst looking versions, based on the P3 screenshots.
