Why no one has made another attempt at a Spelljammer game is beyond me. It has everything you could possibly want in a CRPG lore wise.

Because Spelljammer was already being dumped in favor of Planescape about the time Pirates of Realmspace was published. Contrary to expectations, the "D&D meets Star Trek" gimmick did not become a nerd smash hit.
