I want a thread with (good), released tactical games.
If you have any suggestions and games, post them!

I dont want to browse the forum for alphas, demos, announcements, early access, dlc, no fucking news posts, what have you. Only released games.
No jrpgs, no weebs, maybe with some exceptions like Aband. Children?
Ideally there would be a rating and 3 screenshots and a link to a thread.
RPGs with 1 player like Underrail can sometimes make it if they are tactical enough.

It's RTwP exactly like the first part, but with many more features and a military instead of police setting.
You now have stuff like explosives that can blow through walls, many more weapons, different teams with different specializations (regular soldiers, local militia who are less competent but have big numbers, CIA operatives who focus on stealth), and a greater variety of mission types. Also a level editor with a SHITLOAD of user maps available in Steam workshop, many of high quality.

It's an excellent game.

Mobygames for some reason lists the early access release for Doorkickers2, which is 2020 instead of 2025

After a strong start to the '20s, it seems that tacticool game production slowed down, with only two notable releases in the last two years, though one of those was Codex GotY:

Jagged Alliance 3 (2023) - Worthy successor to fabled series of squad-based tactics games, Codex GotY 2023
Forgotten but Unbroken (2024) - Historical WWII setting for squad-based tactics game


Earlier in the decade:

Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children (2020) - Squad-based tactics game with incredibly-complex character customization/progression and excellent battlemap/encounter design, in the superhero subgenre, by a new developer now working on a sequel
Wasteland 3 (2020) - Tactical RPG with extensive C&C by a long-time developer in a long-established IP, Codex GotY 2020
Dungeon of Naheulbeuk (2020) - Tactical RPG with a pre-generated party, still with some good customization and encounter design, with a French sense of humour
Solasta (2021) - Tactical RPG emulating Gold Box games but with much less exploration, based on "D&D 5th edition", by new developer now working on sequel, also has two later campaigns over the following two years
Wildermyth (2021) - Simplistic Tactical RPG except with an attempt at procedural story-telling based around character personality traits and player decisions
Urtuk (2021) - Bizarre grimdark setting for squad-based tactics game with RPG elements
King Arthur: Knight's Tale (2022) - Grimdark version of Arthurian mythology for squad-based tactics game with RPG elements
