Gothic 3 Combat patched?

Does anyone know if the most recent Gothic 3 patch fixes the stun lock problem with the combat?

It takes forever to find the answer on the forums so I gave up.

I have been hoping a patch would fix combat to make it at least playable to play the game, but I think it might happen.

About 8 meters beneath sea level.
And the last community patch (1.7) which should come out soon also have multiple enemies attacking at once and a supposed wealth of other fixes and improvements. Since it's the final patch I'm going to wait for it and then attempt a replay.

Cool, I will wait for patch 1.7 and then finally get to play it! I thought the game seemed decent, but I couldn't get past the combat.

I wonder how difficult the game will be with multiple enemies attacking at once? Hopefully just the right amount and not impossible.

I take it you'll still be able to hit multiple enemies at once [/Cpt. Obvious], so it shouldn't be a biggy.
What I'm more concerned with though, is what they did to the Genome game engine, since as I hear this is the first patch that will require you to restart the game from the beginning. I learned to live with the combat, it's the stuttering and loading that got on my nerves (despite of all the tweaking).
