Game Revolution has taken the time and written up a pretty negative review of Harbinger. Overall, the main complaint is that it's overly simplistic and brings nothing new to the genre. They gave it a D+. Here's a taste:

All in all, Harbinger defines mediocrity and is a great example of a problem in PC gaming today. While the PC is the most powerful of the gaming platforms, many developers and publishers seem more happy to push out rehashes of successful games instead of trying something new and different. In their quest for the almighty dollar, they took shortcuts and ended up with a sub-par game.

I can't say that this guy is wrong here. It definitely is a huge problem with PC gaming today.

I may have to take a look at that site sometime soon, then. Seems to be a pretty rational view of the industry that does make sense and does apply.

Like Interplay, and making a Fallout title for the consoles that appears to be nothing new for consoles, is ugly, but just reuses a name for the same of it (but not the setting), defining a shortcut that Interplay loves to take. Aside from their crap support, that is.
