I'd go with something that either touches on the theme or on the gameplay itself. Of the options suggested by VD, the one pitched by MRY was best (East of Earth). Though it does not really grab one's attention.

Is the name meant to be part of the marketing effort or just a thematically appropriate title? In other words, if the title does you no favors in selling the game, would that be alright?

Actually, now that you mention it, before arriving at "The New World" I seem to recall another tentative title which contained "sun". Might have been Dawn of the Interstellar Colonial Knights of the Sun.

Not sure if that'd be the right title for this project, but goddamn that's a catchy title... sounds like a lost work of Harlan Ellison or maybe something you'd see on one of those old "Amazing Stories" magazines.
