and sometimes they are switches that open something. but that something almost never is in the same, or the next room. i think i once had a skull that opened a secret door 2 floors further up.

So I installed this interesting game after hearing so much about it, created a character and started the tutorial. As I entered the first room a rat attacked me and I equipped a dagger and killed it with one hit. Holy shit, I could work for the mafia. How ever, halfway through I am assaulted by an angry bat.. no problem.. My char is better with a dagger than Sasha Grey is with dicks, I drew my faithful dagger again and tried to use m2 to attack just like I did before..again and again and again.. only problem was that the dagger only attacked once and after that I seemed totally unable to attack again. Bat victory. That's when I stopped playing Daggerfail and started playing Bloodlines instead. Because at least that game has shitty combat I can live with.

The statue should have opened all the doors in the room, but as I see, you have already opened them yourself
And behind doors are "rapists" Draq talks about.
