I always use the turn-based combat.
I remember, first time I played MM6 I used the real-time combat but that was a very strange FPS.
May be I should replay them in real-time once.

6 and 8 almost entirely RT, all about kiting and wearing packs down.

7 more like half and half, lots of cramped areas where you have to stand and fight and TB makes action economy and targeting easier.

Oh man, for a moment after I read the thread title I thought this was going to be a thread complaining about how difficult the combat is in the late era MMs and that was giving me some serious :what:

But I play them the same way I play Arcanum; 98% real-time with the occasional shift into TB for maximum cheese.

Mainly TB, but I sometimes switch to RT when I'm powerful enough to be mowing down the mobs or when I'm trying to do some cheesing.
